Mama's Famous Cheese Biscuits

Biscuits are a comfort food, reminding us of the great smells that came from Grandma's kitchen. Whether you like your biscuits plain with butter, egg and sausage filled or covered in gravy, these stir up lots of great memories. Mama's wants you to feel the joys of home, family gathered in the kitchen, story telling and warm biscuits. Try Mama's famous cheesy flavoured ones!
Low Carb Mama's Cheesy Biscuits
Patti 'Mama' Corso-Driedger
1 package of Mama's Biscuit Baking Mix
1/3 cup sour cream
3 Tbsp soft cream cheese
2 beaten eggs
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 Tbsp melted butter
1 Tbsp chives
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Pre-heat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Beat eggs with a whisk, add in sour cream and cream cheese, garlic an onion powder and beat until smooth.
Add the entire pacjakge of biscuit mix and stir, add in cheese and stir again and let set for 10-15 min.
Scoop onto lined baking pan (Mama uses an large icecream scoop) and top with 1/4 tsp of melted butter and chives. Should make 8 medium size biscuits.
Bake for 19 min. Cool 5 min and enjoy.
These are great sliced and toasted and topped with your favorite breakfast sandwich items, like fried egg, sausage, bacon, avocado and more.
Variations: add chopped cooked broccoli bits or chopped cooked bacon to batter.
