Low Carb Gluten-Free Pizza Crust

Something you may have not known about all of Mama's products are how versatile they are. Today Mama wants to share one of her recipes that show off the many uses of her Low Carb Bread Mix.
Just because you're eating low carb, doesn't mean you have to forgo one of everyone's favourite late night meals... Pizza!
Mama is proud to show off her classic Pizza Crust recipe:

Low Carb Mama's Pizza Crust

Estimated Time: 10mins prep, 25mins cooking

Serves 2 

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Low Carb Mama's Bread Mix
  • 1 Egg, Well-Beaten
  •  ¼ Cup of Warm Water
  • 1 Tbsp of Melted Butter
  • 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

Directions

  1. Pre-heat Oven to 400° and prepare a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray

  2. In a medium to large bowl: mix the egg, water and butter together

  3. Add LCM Bread Mix and combine

  4. Form the dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap to let rest in the fridge for 5 minutes

  5. After dough has rested; remove from fridge and roll it out onto the parchment-lined tray
    (you may wish to use another sheet on top of the dough to help with stickiness)

  6. Brush the dough with your choice of Oil
    (we use Olive Oil for a more authentic taste, but melted coconut oil works great as well)

  7. Bake the crust for 10 mins before removing and adding your toppings

  8. Reduce the heat of the oven to 350°

  9. Bake the pizza with toppings for an additional 15 mins until cheese is bubbly and crust is fully baked

Macros: 235 Cal, 13 Carb, 17.7 Fat, 11 Protein, 7.3 Fiber, 5.7 Net Carb (Per ¼ of Pizza, no toppings)


This recipe also keeps well if you want to fridge or freezer it, for the next time you want a pizza crust ready to use. Just wrap it well in plastic wrap (and foil if freezing)!
Here is also some of Mama's favourite toppings, do note this will change your macros depending on what you top the pizza with:

  • Olive Oil mixed with Well-Drained Tomatoes
  • Pesto
  • Buffalo Mozzarella
  • Spinach
  • Olives
  • Bacon
  • Red Onion
  • and Garlic Salt on the edges of the Crust!
